Deviled Eggs

Here’s a great starting blueprint for traditional deviled eggs. Get creative with the toppings and make them your own!

(makes 6 servings)

Ingredients

6 eggs

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon or whole-grain mustard

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Hot sauce (optional) to taste

Paprika for garnish

Instructions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Using a push-pin, poke a hole in the large end of each egg

Carefully place the eggs into the boiling water and cook for 12 minutes.

While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water.

After the eggs have cooked, remove from boiling water and place in ice bath for 15 minutes.

Peel the eggs carefully under running water.

Cut the eggs in half lengthwise, remove the yolks, and place into a medium-sized bowl.  Add in the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, and optional hot sauce.  Stir to combine.

Spoon the egg yolk mixture into the egg white halves.  Garnish with paprika, and serve.
